The beginning or the end?

The elections are over. I knew how it would end, that wasn't a surprise. I was at my job when it was announced. The hollering, screaming, cheering, laughing from my coworkers was deafening. I got laughed at by everyone who knew who I voted for, and promptly from everyone else when the news of that spread. My husband warned me. He told me do not talk about politics (or religion) in the workplace. I just grinned and bared it, but inside i wanted to cry. Not because of the teasing, but because of fear for the future. I don't think anyone at my job understood that what had just happened will change the future of this country forever. This country that (whether people like it or not) was forged under the Bible. That is why the Pledge of Allegiance says "One Nation, Under God". My husband and I were talking about this. Obama could just very well be the antichrist (If at this point you close my blog, you have that right, just as i have the right to post what i believe, being that this blog belongs to me). I know the antichrist is supposed to be someone everyone loves and is fooled by. At the very least he could be the tool of the devil. His heart could be in the right place, but it won't make a difference to what downfall he will create.
Only time will tell. Until then we will just have to pray.

God Bless you my friends.

I was wondering how you were doing.

{{{Big Hug}}}

I posted something last night too.

I hope that I am wrong about our president-elect. I really do. But I also know that God always thinks bigger picture than we do and I trust that He is "large and in charge."

One good thing about being on a bumpy road--it makes you hang on tighter.

Lord bless you-

Don't worry, Obama is most definitely NOT the Anti-Christ. The Anti-Christ will be of the people who crucified Christ, maybe a Roman. I know Christians are worried about what will happen to our nation, but our nation has been in a moral decline for many many years. Christians in America haven't even experienced a fraction of the persecution our Christian Brothers and Sisters do every day in other parts of the world. God appoints people into positions of power and we have nothing to fear because Jesus Christ is on the throne!

God is not the author of fear and worry, so let's lean on Him no matter what happens to our country because our number one goal in this life is to spread the Gospel!

God Bless

I do not have to agree with what you say, but i am required by love and compassion to respect it. As i hope you would respect my opinion when i say that i think Obama will take this country to the best place it has been in the last 8 years or more. I hope that for the sake of America we can all stand together and support his efforts to bring us all together, as one people, under GOD!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at my blog as long as they don't get vulgur, cuss or insulting. God made us different for a reason. Nothing is wrong with debating as long as we stay civil.

I can't believe they laughed at you! Who are these people? I applaud you for your strength!!

I feel your sorrow and disappointment as well. I couldn't hardly talk on Tuesday evening and I shed many tears.

And my own brother, who is studying to become a minister, drank the Kool-Aid as well! It is so disappointing that one who will minister to the many can not see the significance of the culture of death Obama ushers in.

All we can do at this point is pray and be faithful to His word.

Thanks for the encouraging words Carrie. It was hard for me not to get emotional in front of all those people. I am right with you. Oh- my husband saw what u wrote about the kool-aid, good analogy. lol. It made him laugh.

Mrs. Bridget, thanks for commenting on my blog. I so enjoyed my time here today reading through some of your post. You are a wise lady. :
I'm sorry you were laughed at. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. I pray for strength for you.

Thank you Julie, it is a bit hard living where i live while believing what i believe. But the Lord will see us through, just as the Lord will see everyone else do during their trials. That's what i love about Him, He may not take hardships away from me, but He will always stand beside me through them.

Bridget,

I am unsure how I found your blog but I'm sure it was/is GOD's will. I will have to visit again. Remain strong in the LORD and in the power of His might. I will say that I do not believe President-Elect Obama is the anti-Christ as I believe the church would be raptured before the anti-Christ is actually in full power (elected to any position, etc.) however that being said I do believe the anti-christ SPIRIT is here and has been for some time because we can see the evidence of that spirit of evil, the screaming and worship of people, the shunning of God's word, the confusion of false prophets which even some elect will be deceived by and so on. As a Christian and Conservative I would not vote for a liberal ticket at any time as the views are too far from biblical principles. As a servant-leader in Kingdom I will only vote for someone who more closely resembles biblical principles and we can't find that on a liberal ticket.

I believe each person has the right to vote as they choose but MY responsibility is to vote as close to the Word of God as I can. I believe GOD cares passionately about US and everything that pertains to us but I believe it starts with LIFE and the sanctity of the MARRIAGE UNIT (one man/one woman) because GOD began with each of those things after creating the earth. I invite you to read a message I did titled "God is Pro-Life" at www.lisa-seekinghispresence.blogspot.com

I do also agree that we must PRAY continously for our new President as I did for our last President and so on. We also must continue to pray for the lost, and for one another as Christians, pray for the nation and the world. WE ALL NEED JESUS.

Pray against the spirit of idolatry that is running around in the church as well as in the world. Let us only bow before the One true GOD. Let us also love all people even though we may not share their views.

Thank you for allowing me to share with you and your readers and God bless you.

Lisa
