Happy Thanksgiving!

The turkey is almost done (we bought a new one and it turned out that the other one was fine,), i just came back from the store cause i forgot the yams, the tv is playing Christmas favorites, and all is well.

I have a sense of joy and peace. I try not to think of my mom. I don't want to become melancholy. I just want to enjoy this holiday with my family and pray that you are having a blast with yours.

Even if your blessings are big or small, may you thank the Lord graciously for them all.

Thanksgiving Woes

Some of my thanksgiving bad luck.

I only remembered to buy the turkey, mac n cheese, and stuffing.
Well it's okay because my father says that he is now NOT coming to our thanksgiving, but will go to my uncle's house and watch the game....

Ok...

I bought the turkey last week, kept it in the fridge, now my husband says that he thinks it had gone bad because it has a smell......

I bought the apple pie a few days ago for thanksgiving dinner, and my father ate a big chunk of it last night....uhh... thanksgiving is tomorrow.

These things only happen to me. Oh well.

Weekly Homeschool Highlights

Well it's about time you see something from our homeschooling home don't you think? Eventhough i am generally embarrassed because I'm new at this and don't seem to be quite as organized (or even presentable) as everyone else is!

We are making pottery by mixing cornstarch, flour, water and salt. Don't ask me for the exact measurements because although there were instructions, i made a mistake with the measurements and just winged it!
